On the Breath of Ruah

At the conception of our soul, the Sacred carves a bit off the Divine Self.   On the wind of Ruah it is blown into our being.  No matter where we go or what we experience, we are always a vessel for this divine spark.  This piece of the Sacred serves as a guide, a source of inspiration, and the unwavering flame of our compassion.  Through our spark we connect deeply to our self and all aspects of creation.

We access our divine spark within the silence of our quiet mind.  In the moment we step into the silence we find not a cessation of noise but a place of clarity.  The light of the Sacred guides us through the obstacles of uncertainty along the path to understanding.  Maneuvering through these obstacles may be challenging or at times seem impossible.  When we feel lost and without understanding, perhaps it is due to the eyes of our soul being tightly squeezed shut.

By relaxing into the silence, the light shines more brightly (even through our eyelids!)  We understand that we are not alone on this life journey.  Our community is filled with people, animals, plants, objects, and a wealth of ideas.  Inspiration flows in the form of ideas as we bask in light glowing from our divine spark and the sparks of others.

Our inspiration flares.  The illusion of being merely human is banished as we walk courageously into the unknown.  We know with certainty in the ground of our being that we are body, mind, spirit, and heart.  Curious daring has us peering with new eyes and  courage sees us attempting life in different ways.  We cross into the extraordinary — the place where our inspiration manifests our reality.  We connect with others; others connect with us.

Science and spirit both agree on the necessity of relationship.  (Ecology is the science of understanding relationships in nature.)  As our spark flares across invisible networks, we strengthen our relationships and enter into ever deepening, intimate connections.  We invite others into this thriving place of community.  Safe in this place, we open our eyes to our woundedness and the wounds of others.  Compassion flares heal our self, our relationships, and the world.

Compassion fills the natural spring located deep in the ground of our being.  Unless we tend to this spring, it may become inaccessible.  Through our connection to the Sacred we fill this reservoir of compassion.  Swimming within this sacred space and drinking deeply of the water, we share compassion with our self.   The more we imbibe of self compassion, the greater the stream of compassion flowing from us to others.

Our compassion twines with the compassion of others.  It touches the Sacred treasure within them.  Through compassion we ignite one another’s divine spark.  These invisible connections flare.  Collectively we shower the world with sparks of compassion.  This spiral of compassion is never ending as it coils deeper and deeper into the world.

At the birth of our soul the Creator gifts us with a piece of the Sacred.  As we grow, our connection with the Divine twines around us becoming stronger and more durable.  As we share the gifts of compassion with those around us, Compassionate Presence travels across the globe.  In subtle and profound ways the world becomes Compassion.

Honoring the place in you where Compassion dwells,

Vanessa
