Life is a Journey (or maybe a highway!)

Life is a journey or maybe a series of journeys and way stations. Sometimes I am excited to be on this stretch of life-way; other times not so much.

Journeys can be well thought out, planned. We know when they begin and exactly where they end. We know how we are getting from point A to point Z. Other times the journey is more uncertain. We take that first step not even aware that we are beginning a trek. Only later do we realize where we are.

Even if we do not recognize it, each journey has a pivotal moment of beginning.  That moment could have happened with a seemingly inconsequential decision. This beginning altered life in phenomenal, far-reaching ways. Each step on this journey comes with the opportunity to make a radical shift in your life.

Journeys offer a wealth of new possibilities. We may begin eager to make changes, to shift the path’s trajectory, and find a part of our self that we’ve never lost. As we edge deeper into the journey, perhaps the enthusiasm wanes until each step becomes less a foray into adventure and more of a lackluster attempt to sustain a path that just isn’t working for us.

We may find our self buried in the necessities of the daily and forget to revel in the joy, the wild tenderness, the fierce beauty of each moment. In unfolding, we don’t take time to celebrate the twists and turns and dips of the path.

Do we end the journey? Maybe. But maybe not. It might not be the journey that has us stuck but the illusion of what we should be experiencing. As we shift our awareness to the moment, what we experience changes. We consciously the next step. In doing so, we discover the slightest nuances of joy and curiosity and rightness.

This journey is unfolding, evolving. It invites us into courageous curiosity. We may not know where we walk or even when our steps draw us onto a different fork. Newness, oldness, the destination isn’t what is important; it is the journey…each intentional step.

I invite you to embrace the wonder of this life. Live with curious abandonment. Know that this journey leads us exactly where we need to be. Enjoy the twists and turns, the joys and curiosity, the being on your journey.

Possibility and the Simplicity of Me

There is an effervescence in the air. Kaleidoscopic possibility. It surrounds me lifting me into incredible lightness of mystery. I am free, free to live within the mystery of life. I can finally channel the spark in my soul.

Possibility is often seen as an outside opportunity that flows inward. What if we saw possibility as being something that simmers inside of us? Something that slumbers quietly in the shadows of our soul waiting to be nudged into the light of manifestation? Something that is of us that flows through us raising us to our best self?

How do we bring this possibility, be it inside or out, into the light of our being? Begin by naming the possibility.

Breathe Into Your Soul

Quiet yourself. Feel the breath flowing into your body. Let your breath flow to your core where it dances with with your flame.

Gently blow on your flame. See the spark flare. Ask to know the pathway of possibility. Even if you cannot quite hear the guiding melody of possibility, trust that you will know the call of possibility when the time is right.

Possibility catches a ride on your breath. It flows from your core to your heart. Breathe it into the expanse of your heart.

Live Possibility From Your Heart

In our head we come up with so many reasons why the possibility is, well, impossible. Never fear that barriers will prevent you from realizing your dream. The heart is wired to expand into any possibility. The not-so-possible becomes a roadmap of pathways to realization.

For the heart speaks in mystery and magic. In the twining we see the kaleidoscope of possibility. We let go of fear as we recognize not one, not two, but many ways to live within the possibility of who we are.

Possibility reminds us that life is to be lived not in a static way but in an ever changing, moment by moment path that calls us to simply be our self.

You see the possibility, now what?

Grasp Possibility

This is not the tight grip of all or nothing. No, this is holding possibility gently like water in the palm of your heart. It is seeing the flame of your soul reflect off the crystals of potential and answer the call you to be exactly who you are.

Hold it gently in the palms of your heart. Rest in the calm. Listen in the silence. Allow the possibility to expand whatever way it  needs. Let the possibility become you.

As I read this, it seems ungrounded, nebulous. But, that is how possibility begins —  no matter how small or impossible it seems. Breathe it into your soul. Listen to its quiet words. When you are ready, allow your heart’s desire to encompass it. Then grasp the possibility in both hands. Act! Dance into your incredible lightness of being.

Change is constant. Possibility creates an expansive path into the uncertainty that a leads to change.

The Great Unknown

I woke to the silence of predawn wrapping gently around me. A voice lifted me into wakefulness. “It is time.” In those almost wake moments, I felt something greater than me flare in my core. Surrounded by its dark embrace, I recognized the Great Unknown was not out there; it is within me.”

The Great Unknown…what is this? For me, it is a conundrum. It feels familiar yet alien. It calls to me in a language that I feel I should understand yet the words and images are incomprehensible until I respond. This response is formed unconsciously with my intuition.

At times I am still surprised by my intuitive understanding of the rhythms of life speaking to me from the Great Unknown. The waning and waxing. The letting go and taking on. The death and rebirth. Those things are both disconcerting and scary as they call to me from the Great Unknown. But, my intuition smooths the fear and brings clarity amid the uncertainty.

How does your perception change when you realize that the Great Unknown is not some nebulous thing out there, but rests within you? What changes when you recognize it wrapping you in an embrace from within. Maybe that knowing is a bit disconcerting, but it also feels familiar. The Great Unknown is a curiosity that beats from the center of my being. It invites me to discover the parts of me long obscured by fear.

Aren’t you curious to know more about your connection to that space? The absolute wonder of your intuition as it translates and responds to the Great Unknown? The whispers that sound from within inviting you into wholeness?

Connecting and wholeness are necessary parts of healing. Maybe that is what the great unknown is — the ultimate healer. A place where you are made whole if you only have the courage to step within the unknown to face the joys, the sorrows, the angels, and the demons that walk with you.

How do you enter this space of mystery? There is no special path, no incantation, no magic that grants you entrance. For me, focusing on the breath connects me to the unknown. It gently wafts apart the veil between me and beyond. My breath is the pacesetter as I draw deeper into the unknown. It calms my mind, soothes my emotions, releases physical tensions. Through it I am aware and curious about what the Great Unknown will share with me.

Most important is my stance of communing with the mystery. Although I may want words, a message, an affirmation, I know that being embraced by the unknown in the moment may be exactly what I need. It isn’t about the message so much as about building relationship with this part of myself that is dark, mysterious, unknown.

Intentionally inviting the Great Unknown to walk with me opens the gateway of possibility. Recognizing  the many ways mystery manifests throughout the day reveals the opportunities to deepen my awareness. With enhanced awareness I am better able to hear the many voices of the unknown.

Wishing you moments of connecting to the Great Unknown and discovering the wonder of you.

You. Are. Loved.

I. Am. Loved. Say those words. Let them flow over your being. Feel them sink into your soul. Allow them to resonate in your body.

I. Am. Loved. Let the sweet nectar of those words flavor burst inside of your. Breathe in the wonder, the joy, the grace of those words. Awaken to the beauty at your core.

I. Am. Loved. Believe it. Be it. Know it without a doubt.

Doesn’t it feel wonderful to know — to feel in the marrow of your being that you are loved? I know that when I feel loved, the world shifts. It becomes brighter. I feel lighter. And, I admit that accepting that knowing is one of the most difficult things that I do. Sometimes it is hard to really believe that I am loved with that intensity. That I am loved unconditionally.

Maybe you are one of the lucky ones who has never experienced that moment of doubt about being. Maybe you have always recognized the love that surrounds you. Maybe you have always known deep at your core that being loved is a right not a privilege. If so, can you teach us how to make the leap across the chasm of self doubt into self acceptance?

Because with self acceptance come possibility. We recognize that all things are possible with love. So, when love wraps me in her warm embrace and I hug her back, the struggles aren’t so tough. In fact, they fall away. I not only have a place in the world, but love reminds me that most of all, I belong to myself. Love reminds me that I am worthy and incredible things are waiting for me to accept them. With love I take my place in this world of enough.

I. Am. Loved. Three radical words that bring with them self acceptance. That are the light that brings you ever closer to recognizing that you am not becoming anything. You am exactly who you need  to be in this moment. And, that is awesome.
